Community Garden Plot Registration Now Open

Plots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Gardeners are limited to one plot at the start of the season, with additional plots offered later if space allows. 

LOCATION: On King Hwy, near the Comstock Community Center and Jan Schau Wildflower Walk

GARDEN SEASON: Mid-May – October

PLOT FEE: $10 per plot for the season 

A brief pre-season meeting will be held to review garden guidelines and expectations.

Indoor Archery Clinic

This 4-week program is instructed by a Certified USA Archery Level 2 Coach. We’ll work on a new skill and play games every week. All equipment is provided.

  • Dates: Tuesdays Feb 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th
  • Location: Comstock STEM Academy (175 Hunt Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49048)
  • Sessions:
    • Session 1: 4:30 – 5:30 PM
    • Session 2: 5:45 – 6:45 PM
    • Session 3: 6:45 – 7:45 PM (Adults, 18+)
  • Fee: $40 per participant

Adult Softball - Spring 2026 Registration Now Open

2026 Spring Deadline: Wednesday, April 15th

LOCATION: Wenke Softball Complex inside River Oaks County Park

GAME TIMES: 6:15 pm, 7:30 pm, and 8:45 pm

DAYS & TEAM FEES*:

  • Monday: Coed ($585)
  • Tuesday: Women’s ($585)
  • Wednesday: Men’s ($585)
  • Thursday: Coed with Double-Header ($880) or Single Game ($585) option
  • Friday: Men’s Double-Header ($880)

*all include a forfeit fee of $30 to be refunded if not used

The spring season starts Monday, April 27th and is 12 weeks long.

Reserve a Park Pavilion for the 2026 Season

Pavilion reservations for the 2026 rental season are now open. Rentals are available from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Robert Morris Park Passes are available at the Township Office. 

Annual Passes

  • $25 per vehicle,
  • or $10 per vehicle for seniors (60+)
Pickleball courts at Neal Street Park in Comstock Township, Michigan
New Neal St. Park Pickleball Courts Closed for Season

The park is open 9am-dusk, daily. There are 4 courts. Bring your own paddles and balls. Play will be on a first come first serve basis for any skill level. No court can be held waiting for additional players to arrive. Courts are not reservable at this time.

There is not a paddle saddle but play should be conducted in rotations of 4 on, 4 off when more than 4 are waiting, 2s when less than 4 are waiting to play. Court time is limited to 30 minutes or 1 game to 11 points win by 2, whichever comes first.

There is a bathroom facility and walking path, but there is no water and limited seating.

Click HERE to view the draft 2025-2029 Parks & Recreation Master Plan.  Please review and submit comments, preferably in writing, to the Parks Department at (269) 343-8212 or parks@comstockmi.gov.  The review and comment period will be open from November 15 to December 20, 2024.  A public hearing and receipt of comments on the proposed plan will be held on December 30, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Comstock Township Hall.  The Township Board will consider adoption of the plan, or the plan as amended at the Township Board meeting on January 6, 2025.
