Beginner Pickleball Clinic

Friday, June 12th from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at Neal Street Park

This clinic is designed for new players who want to learn basic game strategies and drills to join the popular game of pickleball. Instructed by Kalamazoo Pickleball Outreach.

Bring your own paddle if you have one. Pickleballs and some paddles will be provided.

Registration is required. Open for adults 18+. Maximum 20 participants.

Join the Community Garden

Plots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Gardeners are limited to one plot at the start of the season, with additional plots offered later if space allows. 

LOCATION: On King Hwy, near the Comstock Community Center and Jan Schau Wildflower Walk

GARDEN SEASON: Mid-May – October

PLOT FEE: $10 per plot for the season 

A brief pre-season meeting will be held to review garden guidelines and expectations.

Dino Dig

Saturday, July 25th & Sunday, July 26th 26th at 9:30 am & 11 am each day

Dino Dig is back again! Kids ages 2 to 8 years old will dig through the sand to find dinosaur bones at Robert Morris Park. 

Pre-registration is required. 

Cost: $5 (includes snack & craft activity)

Applications are now open for the 2026 season. Local growers, producers, and makers who want to connect with the community and share their products with market shoppers are welcome to apply!

The Market will be on Mondays, 3 – 6 PM, June – September 21 at Merrill Park.

Invasive Plant Removal
Volunteer to Help Restore Our Parks

1st Wednesday of May – October from 1 PM – 3 PM

Help restore Comstock Township’s parks by removing invasive plant species!

Led by Kalamazoo Nature Center crew members, these hands-on workdays will focus on removing invasive plant species. We’ll start at Cooper Park and work until it’s clear of invasives, then move on to the next park in the series. No experience needed. Tools provided.

Monday, May 25th at 12 PM

Parade starts at Forest Academy and ends at the VFW.
