Merrill Park Pavilion Reservations

Best for private gatherings of under 100 people, such as small group get-togethers, birthday parties, and picnics.

Includes:

  • Use of pavilion structure, including picnic tables, charcoal grill, and trash cans

Does NOT allow:

  • Group/party activities like inflatables, dunk tanks, games, or rentals
  • Exclusive use of lawns, playgrounds, beach, or other park amenities/areas

Pavilion use is governed by Township ordinances and park rules.

How to Make Reservation

  1. Submit the Pavilion Reservation Request Form below.
  2. Parks & Rec staff review requests for availability and eligibility.
  3. You will be contacted with a decision or if additional information is needed.
  4. Your reservation is confirmed only after staff approval.

Submitting a request does not guarantee a reservation.

Reservation Season

Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day

Outside of this season, the pavilions are available on a walk-up, first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved in advance.

Amenities

Seasonal restroom facilities are open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

Electricity is not guaranteed at pavilions. Outlets may be unavailable, non-functional, or in use for park operations.

Reservation Fees
  • One Pavilion – $50.00
  • Both Pavilions – $90.00

Fees include use of pavilion space only, including picnic tables, charcoal grills, and trash cans.

Electricity, equipment, and exclusive use of surrounding park areas are not included. Group/party activities, rentals, inflatables, and other similar items are not permitted under a pavilion reservation.

Special Event or Pavilion Rental?

Special event applications are required for events or gatherings:

  • With over 100 people
  • Involving group/party activities or rentals, or other park amenities
  • Seeking to reserve other park amenities or space beyond the pavilion

Special event applications are presented by the Parks Director to the Parks Board for review and approval. Contact parks@comstockmi.gov for more info.
