Free scrap tire collection coming in the summer

If you have scrap tires on your hand, it might be time to think about getting rid of them.

The Kalamazoo Conservation District is going to provide free scrap tire collection to Kalamazoo County Residents this June and July.

If you’re interested, there are 4 different dates and locations for tire collection and you must register for your location.

Each household is allowed to drop off 10 tires, a limit set by the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Only passenger tires with rims removed are allowed.

The dates and locations for tire collection are as follows:

3: pm-7: pm at the City of Kalamazoo parking lot located at 332 Stockbridge Ave., Kalamazoo, MI

Wednesday, June 29, 2022

9 am- 2 pm at the Comstock Township Transfer station located at 6604 East Main St., Comstock, 49048

Thursday, July 21, 2022

3 pm- 7 pm at the Richland Township Office located at 7401 N. 32nd st., Richland, MI 49083

Thursday, July 26

9 am- 2pm at Swan Park located at 50 East VW Ave., Vicksburg, MI 49097
