Election Specialist

Position reports to: Supervisor and Clerk

Part time, flexible

· Front desk staff duties include answering phones and assisting residents

· Handling voter issues and questions

· Managing the QVF inbox

· Ordering election supplies

· Conducting election testing

· Generally assisting the clerk in all election duties

· Other duties as needed

Position Title: Cemetery Coordinator/General Assistant

Serves under the direction of Clerk & Supervisor, this position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties.

Primary Duties:

Assisting in the management of day-to-day operations of the cemeteries:

·         Selling of plots/niches

·         Scheduling burials

·         Receiving and scheduling foundation requests

·         Answering resident ordinance questions

·         Working with monument companies and funeral homes to schedule services

·         Data entry into CIMS cemetery software

·         Historic records management

·         Attending burials

·         Contacting monument companies and/or family upon completion of the foundation

·         Overseeing replacement of foundations cited for repair/sinking

Assist with elections:

·         Registering voters

·         Checking in ballots

·         Filing of election materials

·         Performing election day duties including the duties of 9-days of early voting prior to election day

Assist with public works:

·         Processing KABA plans into Township records

·         Ordinance invoicing

·         Processing sewer applications

·         Processing water applications

·         Streetlight maintenance

Secondary Duties:

·         Greet/assist customers

·         Answer phones & emails

·         Receive, record, and process payments made to the Township and apply payments to appropriate general ledge accounts

·         Properly secure cash and audit cash drawer

Any other duties as assigned by the Clerk or Superintendent

Skills required:  Data processing in Microsoft Office, BS&A software, CIMS software, QVF software, and ability to organize and maintain files.  Must be able to work in inclement weather from time to time to perform duties at the cemetery, including rain, cold,  snow, and heat.  Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Both combined full- time rate starting at $21.00 -$25.00
