Niches available in Maple Grove’s Columbarium

Comstock Charter Township is pleased to announce we are now selling niches in Maple Grove’s New 64-niche columbarium.

Township residents can purchase a niche for nine hundred dollars and non-residents can purchase one for one thousand and one hundred dollars.

Comstock Charter Township Clerk Nicole Beauchamp said, “A columbarium niche is an affordable and beautiful way to honor and memorialize your loved one.”

Each columbarium niche can hold two standard-sized urns.

An engraved plaque is included in the cost and up to two names can be engraved.

The Columbarium was one of two projects Comstock Charter Township began in two thousand and twenty-three.

Besides installing the columbarium, we expanded Comstock Cemetery, adding a total of one thousand and two hundred new plots.

We undertook these projects because the Township was running out of room in both cemeteries.

“Our cemeteries have been a part of Comstock’s history since the beginning of our community,” Clerk Beauchamp said, “it’s an honor and a privilege to be able to do the work to ensure they remain a part of the community for generations to come.”

Comstock Charter Township hopes to add two more columbariums to our cemeteries in the future.
