Video: The Development of the new Township Hall
In case you missed it, here is a video showing the progress of our new facility. We know a new Township Hall is a big step for the Comstock Community and we want to touch on why we made the decision.
Building a Township Hall was in our 5-10 year plan for the township in 2017. The township acquired its former Township Hall in 1967. We had expanded the building 3 times and had no more room to grow.
Purchasing Niko’s Landing potentially saved Comstock Township millions of dollars over building a new facility. It was very important for us that no new taxes were raised to build our new hall.
We purchased the facility with mostly federal American Rescue Act Funds and renovated the building with general funds.
It is on a single floor, while still being located in Comstock Center. We now have a voting precinct in the Township Hall.
