Road Commission of Kalamazoo County projects for the week of 6/16

These are the projects that the Road Commission of Kalamazoo County is planning for the upcoming week:

Road: Parcom Street ‐ 280′ south of M‐96 to M‐96
Current Status: Tree trimming and removals complete. Pulverizing to follow.
Detour: None
Project Information: This project includes tree removal, pulverizing, milling, fine grading, and HMA Base and Surface Paving.
Start Date: May 1, 2023
End Date: July 31, 2023

Road: Electra Street ‐ Kincaid Street to Shields Street, Shields Street ‐ Josephine Street to Electra Street, Cross Street ‐ Collette Avenue to Shields Street, Benedict Avenue ‐ Cross Street to Electra Street, Collette Avenue ‐ Josephine Street to Electra Street, Josephine Street ‐ Leenhouts Street to 1,600′ east of Leenhouts Street.
Current Status: Week of 6/19/2023 Cross and driveway culverts, ditching, and driveway end removals.
Detour: None
Project Information: This project includes tree removal, pulverizing, milling, culvert replacement, fine grading, and HMA Base and Surface Paving.
Start Date: May 1, 2023
End Date: July 30, 2023

Road: Sprinkle Road ‐ N Avenue to I‐94
Current Status: Week of 06/19 pavement marking, signs, concrete work, and restoration
Detour: Traffic will be maintained with single-lane closures. Full closure of Sprinkle Road will be necessary during a replacement of a railroad crossing that is coordinated with the project.
Project Information: This project design includes road surface milling and asphalt resurfacing, minor curb and storm drain improvements, and intersection improvements at N Avenue in the northeast corner.
