A Look Back: Celery Street Park

The land for Celery Street Park was obtained in September of 1955.

Development of the park began on October 4, 1955, with general land cleanup and removal of debris.

The following spring, the grass was seeded the following spring. Swing sets were installed in June of 1956 and a chain link fence was built for the ball diamond in 1958.

Since the 50s Celery Street Park grew into a community park, and the township still invests in the Park today. Last summer, the Township put in new benches and fencing.
